Gain space without giving up your home
A well-planned extension can turn a tight kitchen into a proper family room, add a useful extra room, or make the back of your home work far better. We build house extensions in Portsmouth and coordinate the job from groundworks and brickwork through to roofing, plaster and decoration. Where the new space must connect with the original house, we can open up the rear section and install the specified supporting steels. Our normal extension programme is around eight weeks, helping you regain full use of the property sooner.

Plan the structure before the digging starts
Design information, structural calculations, and building control requirements need sorting before the main stages can run smoothly. We also look at side or rear access, material storage, and the finishes you want, as these points affect the order of work. Structural complexity or restricted access can change the programme, so we discuss them early rather than letting them become expensive surprises. Electrics and Gas Safe work are then fitted into the build before walls, floors and decoration close everything in.
Frequently asked questions
Will our extension always take around eight weeks?
Around eight weeks is our normal extension programme, but it isn't a fixed promise for every property. Structural complexity, chosen finishes, access, and the scope of service alterations can all affect the sequence and overall timing.
Can you open the rear wall into the new extension?
Yes, we undertake substantial structural openings and install steel to the specified design. Structural calculations guide the support arrangement, and we coordinate temporary support, installation, and making good.
What information should we prepare before discussing an extension?
Useful information includes drawings, structural details, the intended room use, and notes about access. Photographs and early choices about finishes also help us understand how the project needs to be organised.
